And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.”1 Chronicles‬ ‭12:32‬ ‭(KJV‬‬)

The Bible gives us three important lessons about the Tribe of Issachar:

1. They were men who understood and maximized times and seasons.

2. They knew what Israel ought to do and possessed uncanny knowledge and strategy.

3. As a result of these, all of their brethren were at their command.

The sons of Issachar possessed discernment through understanding,

Discernment is a faculty of spiritual perception.

It is a state in which your spiritual organs have been trained to detect impulses in the realm of the Spirit.

It is the ability to perceive what is going on, even in the cosmos.

The level of discernment in a believer’s life is one of the indices used to measure spiritual maturity.

No believer can consistently excel when they are bankrupt of discernment. God’s voice extends beyond His sounds. It is every possible channel through which God can communicate His will.

No Believer can consistently excel when they are bankrupt of discernment. In these end times, being dull of discernment is potentially fatal; it could cost you your life.

The key to succeeding in this Kingdom is to remain open to hearing God’s voice on any issue.

Any decision that requires you to exclude God isn’t worth your time. Speed without God is a highway to destruction.

Initiating anything on your own implies that you have the power to see it through to completion.

God will only accept responsibility for what He initiated.
